Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When I depress my clutch pedal, there is a clear 'click' (like a relay clicking) when I'm about 3/4 of the way down. - Is this switch the sensor (for US Porsches) that will only allow the engine to start if the clutch is pressed? - And, is your switch quite loud as well? (in stop-start traffic, I hear click, click, click, click as I engage and disgengage the clutch)

POST 2Original post

Yes Yes, I can hear it clearly with the music off and in stop-start traffic.

POST 3Original post

Yes, the thing drives me nuts too. Once of these days I'll yank the sucker off. Michael

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That's what I like about forums - no matter how obscure/unexpected one thinks one's question is, someone out there has probably experienced something similar :-)

POST 5Original post

Driving home from big bear this weekend, I got so frustrated with the click. 50 miles on stop and go LA traffic. I guess its just something we have to deal with. You could always buy a louder exhaust..........

POST 6Original post

If it bothers you guys so much, simply remove the switch and spray it wil undercoating or wrap it and put it back or put in a new switch, as they all do not make noise.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
