Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello fellow Porsche 996 experts. See below pictures of a set of trim parts we can't find homes for. Car is a 2002 C2 Tiptronic S Cab. We are now almost at the end of putting it back together from a mass of parts! Any help appreciated. Cheers Spart

POST 3Original post

I don't recognise them from the photo, I'd be suprised if there are no part numbers on them. Have you been doing things around the roof mechanism? I don't have a cab so won't recognise specific parts to that area. MC

POST 4Original post

They are the splash covers for the rear cab roof drains .. remove the rear speakers and you will see the drain they fit in .. bit of a bitch to refit so i suggest googling that area for a few pictures .

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Damn we just put the rear quarters back in and the seats etc... I found this drawing that seems to show position and placement etc. I don't recall seeing a pipe there though! Will keep looking to see if we can see a picture of what it should look like. Cheers Spart

POST 6Original post

If the pipe aint there then the car will get very wet !! Remove the speakers and you can refit these covers .. it's a pain though even when you have done a few ... line up the pipe bracket with the square hole in that cover to help you .

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Many thanks Iain. I think we'll just take the rear quarters out again and do it right.... Thanks for the fast reply and advice. Cheers Spart

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Job done and pictures that may assist other people. Total time to remove both rear quarter panels fit the splash guards and refit panels. 20 Mins. Cheers Spart
