Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm a new member, or I should say a returning member with a few years absence. And may I say that this group is terrific! You guys were unknowingly very helpful to me as I looked for my second car which turns out to be a '01 996 Coupe. I told my wife when were dating many years ago that the official announcement of my middle life crisis would be when she came home and found a red 911 in the drive. I'm now on my 2nd mid life crisis and this is fun! Anyway, I want to learn how to drive my car better so a friend and I are going to Atlanta in April to the Porsche Driving Experience. Something I've looked forward to for quite a while. I would really appreciate hearing from any of you have been to that particular driving school about your experiences. It would be especially helpful to know what you might recommend in the way of preparation before going. Thanks for any opinons or input you may have

Welcome to the Forum. You DO know that it is a "requirement" that you post pics of your car, don't you? I guess we can wait until you get your car door open. As for PDE, check out the 997 Forum. A few guys there go/have gone to it. One guy, MJones, goes 3 or 4 times per year, and he lives in Cali. Most of the time he drives his 997 from Cali to 'Bama and gives us daily progress reports about his trip, and includes a few pics. He has some great write-ups about PDE. Try doing a search on "PDE" on the 997 forum.
