Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Is it possible to retrofit bi-xenon headlights? Love them in our 981 Cayman but shopping for a 987 Boxster which may not have them. Can they be added?

POST 3Original post

It would be a formidable task from my readings, it's not like the plug and play litronics of yore. If memory serves me correctly the self leveling feature would be lost. Having said all that I have the non bi-xenon and other than the cosmetics (bi-xenon looks cooler) they provide plenty of night lighting. I wanted those headlights too but I wasn't going to pass on the perfect car for me due to lights.

POST 4Original post

I'm with Boris, from what I'm reading it's a pretty big job. Not only are the lights super expensive, but there are wiring differences too. If you find the car you want I wouldn't let the halogen headlights be a dealbreaker, though.

I guess that makes up my mind. Going to polish and install LED bulbs. I know I am going to have to try a few led bulb styles till I find which works best with the lenses.
