Help. My Targa roof (or more specifically, the dealer) is driving me nuts. I brought my car in the other day for service and asked them to look at the rear passsenger corner of the roof since it sounded like it was rattling a little. They "fixed" it and then it wouldn't close all the way. After another trip, they "lubed" it and now it closes fine but as it is closing it makes a very regular clicking sound, approx. 1/second. It slides OK now but the clicking is bugging me. Anyone else have the clicking or do I need to try another dealer? My warranty is up in Feb so I'd like to get this fixed if it needs to be. Thanks guys. Grant

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

i have never had any issues with my top and i don't have any clicking noise either, the actuator for the rear hatch is another story tho
take it back click click click from the rear of the car ive seen it before
ya, come to think of it, it does click when opening... i have just been away from my car too long to remember...
Haven't had the problems you've noted, but get it done before the warranty expires. Sounds like Sharp may be having a problem with his 'actuator.' I had problems with my rear window latching closed, worked sporatically at best. The dealer replaced the mechanism (under warranty at the time) and now it closes smoothly and easily.
Never had any clicking, but I also have had the rear locking mechanism replaced. I notice some noise when first driving the car on a cold morning. I assume that is the rubber seal. It goes away as the car warms up
