Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The Cayman S, a sporty two-seater positioning between the Boxster S and the 911 Carrera, is a smaller sports car powered by a 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine. The basic price is 920,000 yuan (US$113,861). 'When we showed the Cayman S at the Guangzhou motor show last month, people loved it. I am confident that this new fierce predator will take a big bite out of the growing sports car segment in China, ' said Mark Bishop, managing director of Porsche China's C. Jebsen and Co Ltd. He said a significant number of orders had been received before the launch, especially from Chinese customers. The car hit the Chinese market two weeks after its worldwide launch because of shipping problems. Porsche AG, Europe's most profitable carmaker, plans to increase sales by 30 percent in the next four years and expects the growth at the end of this decade will come mainly from Russia and China. In the fiscal year to July 31, Porsche delivered 526 vehicles in China, up 109 percent year-on-year, compared with 4.1 percent growth globally. The Cayenne model accounted for 80 percent of its business in China in addition to other models like Boxster, 911, and Carrera GT. In the next fiscal year, the company is confident of selling more than 1,350 units in China, almost triple its current sales record. </div>

You mean that the Cayman in China wil cost $113K? Huh? I have heard of the high cost of many things we take for granted, but whoaaa! Russ

POST 3Original post

We still have it pretty good here in the great American PX.

POST 4Original post

True, 1 thing though, you guys pay like $2.00 reg. gas at the US! (correct me if I'm wrong) The Cayman costs $84000 here (Canada) (plan to import an US spec car here) so you can see the price difference between other items. We pay $0.85reg. Canadian here.

POST 5Original post

It suppose the import taxof carin China was pertty high, but after entering the WTO, they reduce the import tax from 06' and the car in China will be much much cheap. As the price mentioned about, it is a bit cheaper than in HK. I think buying cars in US is really happy shopping since it is much cheaper relatively. However, I heard from a Singrapore friend, buying a car in Sing is very very expensive. He told me he bought a 996TT and the price was around USD512k

POST 6Original post

Crazy, You definately got the best deal on fuel! In Hawaii we are DOWN to $2.57 per/Gal. Russ

POST 7Original post

Lambormini, How can anyone afford a exotic car in Singapore? And I am sure that insurance cost a fortune also. Pretty expensive in Hong Kong as well! I guess we all have things to be thankful for wherever live. Russ

POST 8Original post

Basic non optioned cayman is S$302,000 (USD 180,000) in Singapore. Income Tax rates average under 15% so I guess govt needs to make money other places like tax on cars. It all balances out in the wash though over time. Basic non optioned cayman is A$165,000 (USD 125,000) on road in Australia. Aust provdes free education and health care so again sort of balances out over long term. Each govt generates income in different ways.

POST 9Original post

Yes, the insurance in HK is not cheap too. Last year I was paying HKD79,000 (USD10,128) for my Gallardo. Hopefully this year might be cheaper. The price of my Sing friend paying for a 996TT, I can get a CGT in HK plus at E90 320i.

POST 10Original post

Russk, surprisingly there are many very very nice cars in Sg. More than most cities. There are many wealthy people in Sg.

POST 11Original post

Lambormini, My insurance on my Cayman is $ 1100USD per Yr. I feel for you! Way, That is interesting, I have heard that in Sinapore there is little if any crime and the city is imaculate. It would be fun to visit. Russ
