Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

there is a switch in the centre console - PSE as it says goes from normal to sports. Advantage is quieter for neighbours when in non sports mode - only.....how do they know ur back!
Is it possible to have the switchable exhaust retrofitted?
Yes u can - pretty expensive from OPC - See Lloyd Six thread on exhaust - seems a much better option 8) - and cheaper :thumb:
Thanks. I took a look at the Lloyd Six option, and it does seem more sensible, but it also doesn't appear to be quite ready yet. ...then again, I've not bought a 996 yet...
Hayward & Scott in Essex will weld in the bypass pipes just like PSE has. Obviously you lose the switchable aspect, but then they charge £295+VAT (while-u-wait). Personally I don't think it's that loud at idle, probably best not to blip the throttle as you start 'er up at 5am though!
