Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I want to change the cabin filter in my 04 996 Cab; the torx screw just turns, will not tighten or loosen. I can reach under the panel and apply upward pressure but still nothing. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so what is the remedy?

The rubber mounted "thread-sert" come loose easily as you noticed. If you sideload the torx screw it may unthread like you want it to or you can probably just pull the whole panel out with little resistance.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot.
