Trying to discreetly brighten up the turbos interior. Ordered the silver strips for across the dash and quite fancy having an alloy or aluminium sourround to the gear gaiter like I had on my C2. I like the standard gear knob so dont want and cant justify an entire new gear knob gaiter etc just for a suround. There are a number of suppliers of entire units including the surround but none that Ive seen that have just the surround. All suggestions welcome.
Sounds like you have the basic set-up? Do you have a or can you find a similar photo of your current shifter?
Lloyd, yes I have the basic set up for the turbo (manual). My Carrera had the carbon gear knob with surround.
Andrew does the old one come off? Why not just get some good quality silver spray paint? That's all they do for the surround anyway, it's not even that good a quality spray up close, sure you could do better :thumb:
I see, no surround at all then, just leatherette and the knob. No one does a surround for that type, you would need to upgrade the whole thing....Fleabay all the way or Porsha-part etc. The Techart ones look nice.
Cheers guys, yes there is no surround as such just the gaiter. Will have a look and see but doubt Ill be spending hundreds on a replacement unless I see something very tasty.
