Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I bought my first 996 nine months ago - a lapis blue 2001 C4 cab with 7,400 miles. The O/O had kindly added Gemballa suspension/sways, Gemballa exhaust and Fikse FM/10 wheels. Previously Ive had two 944s, a 986, an M roadster and various muscle cars but ALWAYS wanted a 911. Over the course of nine months I have added the following (not necessarily in this order): 10,000 miles B&M SSK Lloyds black floor mats Tinted windows Pioneer/Sirius head unit, amp & 4 focal speakers Hardwired Valentine 1 Tom-Tom nav. System Clear bra, 15 mm spacers on rear wheels CD storage delete Lapis upper & lower consoles, rear seat hooks and bat wing Alumi-look ignition/hazard surrounds Gauge trim rings MY02 shifter Obligatory clear side markers. K&N CIA kit. Needless to say, I love the car and look forward to driving it every day. I really dig the interior now because stock was plain & mustardy. (I included some before & after pics). I hadn't intended to do this many mods because I plan on moving up in the future, but after catching the mod bug, I haven't been able to shake it. Next up will be painted bumperettes and possibly a flash. My only regret is that (as prices seem to have dipped recently) I didnt wait a bit longer and get a C4S or TT sooner rather then later. Ive been nosing around here for a couple months and at the risk of getting sh*t all over my nose, as far as P-car forums go this place definitely offers a great combination of community, comedy, activity, maturity, advice and knowledge. Mark

Welcome to the forum. Nice pics, beautifull car. My only regret is that (as prices seem to have dipped recently) I didnt wait a bit longer and get a C4S or TT sooner rather then later I fully agree on this, I have had the same regret. On the other hand our current cars is perfect so why bother with regrets!

POST 5Original post

Nicely done. Love the interior enhancements. Welcome to the forum.

Mark - First of all WELCOME to Rennlist! Great introduction, and very nice looking Cab. I LOVE the color, but I am not biased or anything. Thanks for posting the pics. You are one of the few recent "newbies" that I haven't had to "bitch slap" to post pics. That is a nice grooup of mods you have completed on the car. Agreed, Rennlist is a great place for all of to share our love of Porsches, but I am not so sure about the "maturity" comment, because "the jury is still out" on that one. Again, Welcome to Rennlist!

POST 8Original post

LOVE the tan interior and the stitched steering wheel!

POST 9Original post

...don't call me mature - I don't smell anything like mature! Nice car.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks everyone. Maturity is obviously a very subjective & relative term.

Well, it can depend upon what I've been upto just before you meet me.. sometimes I've been known to be up to my eyes in manure.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
