Made the jump last month to 996 ownership, I purchased a 2002 Meridian Silver Targa! I sold my '95 993 (parts of which I still miss), but I am really impressed with the 996. It handles incredibly well, is quick and has the creature comforts I was looking for. Plus, I am completely in love with the Targa top, it is the best of both worlds between a coupe and cab, IMO. Here are some picts....hopefully this works

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Congrats. Looks great (except you need floor mats). You will love the car, and you will continue to miss your 993.
Very nice! Welcome to the 996 board. Is the 993 board off limits now? How many miles on the Targa?
Congrats and welcome to the world of 996's. 993's are great, but as you will soon discover 996's are much more capable! Enjoy your new ride!!
Great car; you'll have a lot of fun with it. I'll also suggest a way to spend a little more of your money. I think painting the rear console in the exterior color would look really good on your car. I know Eric of Bumper Plugs who hangs out here does that, and always gets top notch reviews. Anyway, enjoy your car.
Thanks everyone...the car has 44k miles on it. I have been looking at the rear console mod Eric offers and likely will do it. Going for a ride in it now Chris
Chris - very nice P-car! Welcome to the Porsche Phunny Pharm!
