Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Sunroof drains?

Could be the issue how do you get access to the rear drains ? And how easy is it to clear a block ?
can you not see the drain holes with the sunroof open and poke something down (like a guitar string?)
If it's anything like mine, the rear sunroof drain tube where it joins to the black plastic end piece, it was not sealed properly. Therefore, when water went down the tube, some exited behind the rear wheel where it should, but some came out early and inside the car. From that corner the leaked water just runs forward and down to underneath the rear parcel shelf behind the rear seat upright, and from there it's very easy to go down to pool under the rear seat squab. The parcel shelf is very easy to remove, just pull it upwards in the centre, bend it slightly, and it pulls out from under the side panels. If it's like mine, you'll find a pool of water underneath one of the metal covers. Hopefully this link works (you probably need to be a member of the group to view tho) https://www.facebook.com/groups/996owners/permalink/2570909629819118/ To rectify, you need to remove a lot of the trim, which is a pain but gets a lot easier after a couple goes. I can get there in 15 - 20 mins now ive got the knack.
I had similar problem behind the drivers seat. With the help of Demort, he showed me a tiny drain gulley under the rear quarter glass rubber. It drains forwards towards the door so Pull the rubber back give a good clean and blow to clear the crud. No pictures I'm afraid, but from memory, it was fairly obvious to see once you've pulled rubber back.
As per Panda996 post water drains out in the image below from the quarter light glass .. anything blocking it can cause water ingress to this area along with this glass seal being replaced in the past and not sealed properly . The only test is remove the rear interior panel then water leak test and look for leaks into the car ... pour water onto it basically . A blocked sunroof drain tends to have a wet headlining in that area .. this might be your problem but this is a second thing to check .
