sorry to ask this stupid question, I just brought the Silver Cayman S yesterday. After pick up the car and on the way back home. I turned on the NAV to test out how it works. I want to turn off the radio but leave NAV voice instructions on and increase the volume. For some reason, I can't turn off the Radio. I tried to volume up the NAV instruction voice, by turning the volumn knob, however, that will increase volume of the Radio, not the NAV (or maybe both?). I went to radio menu, and didn't see the “off” option but "MUTE". So I mute it, but when I turned the volume knob, radio came back again. Can some one point it out? Thanks

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Don't have Nav but did search and find http://www.planet-9.com/cayman-electronics/3684-there-quick-way-mute-music.html
There is a setting for fixed volume for the navigation, have a look in the PCM handbook. The PCM Nav voice has two options, the first drops the radio/cd volume whilst increasing the Nav volume whilst giving directions, the other is a fixed level. I think you want the second, this way you can have the radio turned right down yet hear the NAV directions.
I think you can also mute the music and the nav voice will still work. I don't have PCM in my CS, but I have it in my Cayenne S and when I hit mute, I'm pretty sure you can still hear the nav voice.
thanks, I was warried about, when i mute the Radio/Music, I also mute the NAV. Because after I lower the Radio Volume, I can't heard NAV either. So at that time i don't know is because I mute NAV too, or it just didn't give me any voice instruction.
thanks, that is really helpful. I will try it tonight.
