Hi Guys Newbie here, been reading some of the previous threads, found them a great help and plenty of honest folk on here. Please can you assist, i have been looking for 996 in my price range and been offered a good deal on the one in the link below http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/200939342470041/sort/priceasc/usedcars/make/porsche/model/911/postcode/pe29lp/page/1/quicksearch/true/radius/20?previous=%2Fsearch%2Fresults%2Fusedcars%2Fpostcode%2Fpe29lp%2Fradius%2F20%2Fmake%2Fporsche%2Fmodel%2F911%2Fpage%2F1%2Fsort%2Fpriceasc%2Fquicksearch%2Ftrue&anchor=advert200939342470041&logcode=p[/url] Sorry for the long link!!! works though. I have spent some time studying the car the bodywork looks great all the panels lines seem true, and the wheels are in new condition with a bit of meat stiil left on its tyres, it would appear to have new back brakes and pads, the fronts are slightly worn but have some miles still left in them. water bottle is clean and no signs of leaks. But there is a sign of an oil leak on the underneath which i expect is the RMS, its only a slight leak but it looks like its leaked for a little while. the history is only in the form of service stamps on the service book, no paperwork to back it up. As noticed the leak he has increased my Pex deal by a further £500 ( £7500 for my 1997 Boxster (60K FSH). Whats everyones thoughts, is this a good deal, is trying to hide anything ?? Thanks Guys!!!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

It might all be innocent, but the fact that he quotes that there are "no leaks or rattles" in the advert either means he is lying or it hasn't been properly inspected.
