Today I spent more than 4 hours at my local Porsche servis (only one in the country ) and I am very p... During my last service the guys update some SW based on a recall program from Porsche and they screwed up the small computer in the instrument call (lost route guidance, TPM, tel, sport chrono and God knows what else). Today they promised to fix everything, but I lost the cruise control function; after they fixed the cruise control I again lost some of the computer functions :argue: They decided to take the car on Thursday and give me a loaner for how ever long it will take to fix it but I have lost any trust and hope that they even remotely know what they are doing! Has this ever happened to any of you? Do you know if there is some setup through the PCM which could facilitate me do it myself instead of going these incompetent people again? Thank you for any help and sorry for a bit long and frustrated post...

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I Do Suggest, that you drive the little way to a Porsche dealer in Austria or Germany and get them to fix all of your faults............... In the Czech Republic the technicians, do not have the volume of work to learn the expertise...........
I know that would be the best thing... but I my car as a daily driver and clock something close to 30k a year. If everytime I need to drive to Germany (Dresden is close and has a good service) it means I need at least a day off for each visit... Even though I love the CS I am starting to question if it is the right car in this country... I also have a BMW and MB and the service here has been very good for both and I speak for an experience of about 7 years... Thanks anyhow
I know the Czech Republic well, I drove my Cayman on the Brno race circuit earlier this summer with my Czech friend Jano, who has a BMW M3 that he races......... I drove further east to visit my friends in Slovakia (Liptovsky Hradok) where the Cayman was a magnet for anybody and everybody. BMW / Mercedes service support is well developed now in the Czech republic.... Porsche service support will be developed in the future.........
