Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I know the 962 followed on from the 956, the change over was somewhere around 88/89/90 i believe. I also know a few people made road going versions of the 962 (like Dauer and Koenig). Other than that i can't help, but i'm sure if you put "Porsche 956 962" in Google there'll be something useful out there. Happy New Year! www.VerySideways.com

Am curious: does anyone know the difference?? They look exactly the same, yet are obviously different enough for Porasche to give them different numbers. Is the 962 a development of the 956?? (It so, why did they bother: the 956 won practically everything it entered...) Yours, William
