Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I'm getting my first Porsche tomorrow, the 2012 black/black 991 Cab, PDK ... couldn't be more excited  There are two in stock at my local dealership here in SoCal, one for around $107k and another for around $112k. I'm leasing. My question is how much less than MSRP should I ask for? How much off MSRP did you get? Thanks in advance for the help

POST 2Original post

Congrats on the new car, not sure that dealers are going to budge much off of MSRP on the new 991's until theyve been in the market longer...

POST 3Original post

I agree with Ken... plus your listed prices sound 'cheap' in comparison to Saudi Arabia where the prices at the dealer start from 122k USD for the 991 Carrera S Coupe with months on the waiting list. Congratulations on the new toy in advance.

POST 4Original post

I just got one with 5% off MSRP but not a cab. Someone I know also got 5% off of MSRP. Try 5-6%

POST 5Original post

They are discounting, but the issue for you is the residual as it will be a big factor in your payment. Discount of 5-6% sounds right. Our dealer has plenty of inventory on 991s and leftover 997.2s.

POST 6Original post

Really depends on market area. 5 ~ 6% in CA sounds about right for an in-stock car, with only about 2~3% for a custom order,...and sometimes not even that in some areas. Good luck with the dealing.

POST 7Original post

Thanks for the responses everyone. I was previously offered around 3.7% off MSRP on a custom order cab earlier this month. I'll go in shooting for 7%, and settle for 5-6%. More experiences are also welcome!

POST 8Original post

I ordered a 991S last month and received a 5.5% discount. It will be an early 2013 model and I am being told a September delivery. This was from a dealer that I have a relationship with on a previous Porsche.

POST 9Original post

Thanks guys. Dealer has offered 4.5%, and I countered at 6%. I'll heading over then later this afternoon! Will update with final numbers

POST 10Original post

Hi everyone, I got the car! woo hoo. I'm loving the drive, and I can't believe I even considered not getting the sport chrono package. That sport plus button is amazing. I ended up getting 6.5% off of MSRP, so I'm thrilled! Thanks for the help.

POST 11Original post

Um pics ASAP!!!! Are you able to actually drive in Sport Plus? When I had Plus in my 997.2, it shifted near the red line. So I only drove in Sport.

POST 12Original post

That must have been quite the negotiation. They offer 4.5%, you counter with 6% and end up with 6.5%. Have fun with that car, it sounds really nice.
