Hi all, I hope you’re all having fun with your Porsche’s. Does anyone know if we can find out how many 987.1 were made in 2008? As I understand it, it was a low year for demand because the 987.2 was coming out in 2009. Cheers 🙌🏻 BTW the 2008 987.1 is an amazing car 🔥

There were actually quite a lot of '08 987's made, as they had at least three special editions that year to boost sales before the 987.2 model refresh. Then of course the 987.2 sales were way down due to the recession. So '08 987's are pretty easy to find. I've had three 987.1s and I agree it's an awesome car.
How comes you’ve had three? It’s not down to bore score is it? Apparently that’s supposed to affect a small percentage of cars before the 2008 version.
There are some sales numbers on the Wikipedia page for 987.
I did have a look before posting and the 2008 didn’t have any numbers next to it. I thought that was odd tbh.
