I've been quietly stalking this site for 3 months becoming more and more passionate about the Cayman S but thinking that I wouldn't 'join' because the odds of actually buying the car were slim (my wife wanted a convertible (read Boxster)). You guys are great...this is by far the best board I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Between K-man S's insight and Russ' obsession, it's just a very well-rounded, informational, and fun place to visit. I've had the fortunate opportunity to be involved with Porsche for the last few years - I own a Cayenne and was a vendor for PCNA's launch of the Boxster. Needless to say, my wife is a saint for listening to me go on and on about Porsche. My prayers were recently answered when she said that we'd get a Cayman - Feb build. I think I'm clear on the options but a little foggy on what color. Anyway, I don't think I'll get to the number of posts that Russ has but I'm looking forward to being on the inside now. Great site guys...you define what it means to say - There is no substitute. /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/drive.gif

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

And having folks like yourself decide to join is what adds value to this site. Welcome aboard!/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/beer2.gif
Terrific. Welcome and buy your wife a nice Christmas present for being so understanding.
Nthusiast, Welcome! This site is living proof that a web forum can be informative, funnny and EXCITING! Thanks for the kind words. Aloha, Russ
Nthusiast, Welcome to the site! When I put it up I wasn't sure anyone would join or find it worthwhile, there was a lot of Cayman S bashing on other Porsche-enthusiast sites. However, I'm glad I did, it isn't the software or my server that makes this site great (I know because I'm moving the site to get more bandwidth) but rather the PEOPLE that make it great! Hats off to all of you! Buy yourselves a beer! /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/beer1.gif
Nthusiast, welcome to the club!!!!!!! For me, being member of the club makes it much easier to wait. It' nice to share the enthusiasm. What options did you choose? Jo /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/hi.gif/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/dance.gif
Welcome, the more the merrier!!!/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/beer2.gif
Nthusiast has it right, a site like this makes a big difference to current and future owners so I’m jumping in too. I’m selling my M Coupe after 5 years to buy a Cayman and during that time the Coupe board was a Godsend as the user base grew and experience accumulated about what worked on the car and what didn’t. This board has the kind of critical mass and enthusiasm that will guarantee its success and K-Man S has set it up better than any other board I know. Can’t wait for my baby to get here and it’s good to know you guys feel the same about yours.
Ramiel, I haven't actually spec'd it out yet but I'm probably going to be a minimalist - Carmon Red with Sand Beige, Xenon's, Heated Seats, Crest in Headrest, A few aluminum interior accents, Chrome Exhaust, and a Sport Steering Wheel. Options add up quickly so I'm just trying to stick to the few that I really want. What options did you end up going with? Thanks for the warm welcome...I can't wait until we all have our cars and can talk about the great driving experience!
BJ, Welcome to this great site! Here we all have a common bond, the love of a beautiful automobile, The Nash Rambler! Ha Ha! You know which one it is and this site is truly the only thing that has kept me sane, or has it? All joking aside, I am not one for clubs or web threads, but when you get into a group like this it is a blessing indeed. No judgement, just mostly mature comments by very knowledgeable folks. You have found the right place my friend! /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/thumbsup.gif Aloha Russ
