Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have searched high and low, near and afar, but have not found a good cup holder for my coffe! Life cannot be this cruel, there must be one out there?

POST 4Original post

I'll second the ultimate cupholder recommendation. They're fantastic. Better yet, they attach on the floor so any inadvertent spills only soak the floormats and NOT the dashboard.

POST 5Original post

I have one for sale in the classifieds section of this board. Mounts to the center console without any drilling or modifying of the console in any way. Origionally $59.99 through www.automotion.com $25 + shipping Andy

POST 6Original post

Another vote for Ultimate Cup Holder. It works. It does not get in the way. What more can you ask? It is helpful to remember it is there when moving the seat forward for cleaning or whatever so you can slide it out of the way. That is the only possible complaint I can think of.

POST 7Original post

We do not have steering wheel on zee coffee table. Why would we want a cup holder in zee Porsche???

POST 8Original post

One more vote for the Ultimate Cup Holder. No complaints yet.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have to drive to zee kaffe shop (and back) and zee mug does not look cool in zee map pocket.

POST 10Original post

$25.00 dollars for shipping, hope you wear a gun and a mask when its packaged !

POST 11Original post

Put it between your legs............... Gun and mask, that was funny! What's up with the super high shipping cost, it doen't say ebay..................

POST 12Original post

I think what he meant was, he bought it for 59.95, but its yours for 25.00 plus the cost of shipping. Brian

POST 13Original post

Count me in for the ultimate cup holder. Only get one though - and use it on the passenger side. -td

POST 14Original post

Whover owns ultimatecupholder will be happy this question was posted. Two sick youngsters had us up a lot last night and I grabbed a Diet Coke on the way out the door. I was drinking it while driving the P-Car. I said, "damn, I need a cupholder." This thing looks perfect and I just ordered one. I did the clear side markers a month ago and now this. I now have two cheap mods. Thanks again guys!

POST 15Original post

Correct. Nowhere did I state $25 for shipping...it's $25 + (PLUS) shipping Greg...I'll ship it to you for free though

POST 16Original post

Amen Brother! Porsches are for driving. Not drinking and NOT eating. That said, if you want to bring bottled water with a screw top in my car, that is allowed... but that's it. Besides, there is no freaking way you can drink anything other than water from a bottle with me driving anyway. It would be in your lap. There is no point in having cup holders if you can't even drink from the cup in your hand.

POST 17Original post

Who in their right mind allows food and drink in their car?!?!?

POST 20Original post

The Ultimate as installed in my car. (Secondary removable cupholder adjacent) Please excuse poor photo quality.

POST 21Original post

I'd say it's time for a three spoke steering wheel. Tell your wife it's christmas soon. Thorsten

POST 22Original post

In the interest of full disclosure, the Ultimate is great for coffee mugs, but useless for a 12 oz can of soft drink.

POST 23Original post

Another user of the Ultimate...it is bendable to fit whatever size container you want.

POST 25Original post

The stock cupholder in my '02 is pretty decent - but then I don't drink coffee, just the occasional 12 oz Diet Coke. It seems to spill coffee pretty much every time we've used it for that.

POST 26Original post

My solution: http://www.birdautomotive.com/Armrests.htm

POST 27Original post

I know I shouldn't say anything, but that bird cup holder looks like a POS.

POST 28Original post

Wait..I'm confused...I have a 99... How come I have cupholders?

POST 29Original post

It's actually really well made, not cheap though. 3.4ls w/PCM didn't come w/them.

POST 30Original post

Someone explain this to me ... what is the big advantage of a 3 spoke wheel?

POST 31Original post

I have bird automotive cupholder too... It may look like I made it with spare erector set parts, but it easily hides in armrest. Infact I have never even used it. But the armrest is comfy

POST 32Original post

It just looks better. The 4-spoke wheel looks strange, almost bloated.

Here is a link to my cup holders, they work great! https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/198334-99-c2-cupholder-mod-all-the-pics-are-in.html Kris
