Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

involving plugged lifters, extended warranties and other topics. Understanding that the 3.2L on a 2002 Boxster S is a bit different from the 987 motor, the comments by Jake Raby regarding the tendency of lifters to plug after 50 or 60K miles is disconcerting. Would appreciate it if anybody in the 987 crowd has had similar problems. I'm hoping the 987's would not be be affected but who knows.. 986 Forum - for Porsche Boxster Owners and Others - read this and be warned about your motor
