Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yep, cold damp weather is here and the drop glass rubbers are sticking to the glass making a loud squeaky noise when operating the windows.. This is the most common time for people to break their window regulators. I have a question, I think my cable has stretched, does anyone know if there is any adjustment to take out the slack? Thanks in advance

POST 2Original post

There is no tension adjustment, I'm afraid - only an adjuster for the window height. If you have got slack in the mechanism, the regulator cables are probably on the way out.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
