Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ever since I was a child, I've always loved Matchbox cars. I just realized that the 2006 Matchbox line up has a 996 turbo. How come they have a C6 Vette? No love for the 997! On a side note...Has anyone else notice that the Boxster Matchbox had no side mirrors?

POST 2Original post

The technical reason is that if the chunkiness of Matchbox cars is combined with the notorious chunkitude of the 997, the resulting toy car will surpass the Chunk Event Horizon, leading to plagues of frogs and the End Of The World (TM).

POST 3Original post

Yeah, and you really don't want to blow chunks!

POST 5Original post

Many english people have said that. Not sure why though.

POST 6Original post

Blowing frogs is worse than blowing chunks???? I'll take your word for it, thank you!

POST 7Original post

I just got of the phone with matchbox...they will come out with the 997 before the end of the century...it will come out as a classic....

POST 8Original post

that is an easy question - matchbox doesn't want to pay Porsche the much higher royalty charge on the 997. So, they produce copies from now out of production models.

POST 9Original post

Hey, my dog's name is Chunks! Sorry, old joke.
