Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looking for my first 911! The main targets are 996 and 997's. We have an E46 M3 that we autocross and 'track night' with, and are hoping to add a 911 to complement it. I am looking at a 2002 and a 2003 Carrera (not S) currently. The 2002 has the 'PSM off' switch, but the 2003 does not. I keep reading that PSM was made standard in 2023, is that correct? Thanks!

POST 2Original post

It is standard on all four wheel drive 996, optional on the two-wheel versions.
