Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I'm looking at picking up another Cayman . I've got my eye on one that has seen a little track duty and has some nice mods, but includes a cold air intake (stock air box cut up and removed). I'm going to be streeting it would prefer it quieter. I've heard you have to drop the engine to put in or remove a stock air box but someone recently told me that it was a matter of dropping it a few inches, not that big a deal. Does anyone have any experience with this?

POST 2Original post

I change it in my 2000 BS but didn't have to move the engine. Don't know if much newer Cayman would be different.
