Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I was hunting for a new shift knob that wasn't the techart or ruf. I sent MOMO an email asking if they had a compatible knob and here's the response: "The MOMO knob requires a round shaft that is less than 15mm in diameter to install. The Porsche shaft is a “bar” (rectangle cross-section) shape and is not compatible with the MOMO installation kit." So, if you were wondering, no MOMO.

POST 2Original post

I'm guessing all Porsche knobs might be interchangable? Try knobs from other models? I'm not an expert on this so its just an idea. Maybe you can score a Carerra GT knob or something If you really want to fit a Momo I bet you could modify the square shaft, either machine it to be round or fit a round tube over it and fill it with epoxy or solder or weld it or something. Let us all know what you do; I think a unique shift knob can look pretty cool when you hop into a car. Really gets noticed right away.
