Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

There was a thread around here somewhere on tinting... 35-40% would be my option. I think someone quoted it done for around $150-200.
$250, lifetime warranty to scratches. All windows http://www.planet-9.com/pic_display.asp?id=1452 Edited by - PACayman on 10/12/2006 07:38:19 AM
$120. 35% (legal in my state)
any recommendation on tinting shop in southern CA?
$179 complete car. 35% High performance tint (whatever that means?/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/confused_smile.gif) Lifetime warranty.
Just spoke to the shop. High performance tint adds an extra 25hp to the wheels apparently. SoI went with that.
I've heard good things about California Tint in Rosemead, although it's a bit far away from where I live. I got mine done at Magic Car Stereo & Alarm in Signal Hill. They stand behind their work and have done an excellent job on my last 2 cars. Tinting the Cayman cost me about $160. I ended up getting 35% on the sides and 21% on the rear. Definitely illegal in CA, but it's a risk I'm willing to take.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">whatever you decide, make sure you select ceramics...better clarity quality, better heat rejection, and better life expectancy. more expensive and tougher to install due to stiffness.[/quote]
And more heart-rending when the cop who pulled you over makes you pull it off your window while he watches! (Yes, that happens here in CA)
ceramics come in legal shade as well...
$430 Huper Optik all windows but windshield.
Now I'm serious when I say that better increase my horsepower for that type of money!
$430??? What's so special about Huper Optik?
Huper Optik has the best reduction in heat without having to go too dark and is ceramic. Now that I've seen everyone else's prices, it looks way too expensive. But my installer quoted $380 for the Hi Performance Tint and when I got my BMW done, it was $450 for the Huper Optik, so I didn't think much of it. The material is also really thick compared to other tints, so it kinda makes all of your glass into safety glass.
Tinting in SoCal I went to a tint shop in Canoga Park. They did the entire vehicle for $165. 20% rear, 30 % sides. You can check out the pic here. http://www.tintmastercity.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=listing&rid=140&pageid=33&id=6422 Matt and Robert at the shop are great... they can go as dark as you would like, but I went with Robert's advice to avoid the "floating roof" look (like Range Rovers have). Basically I wanted to accent the car, not make the tint the focal point when you first see it. So I probably went a little lighter than folks with a black car (or perhaps Seal Gray) would.
20% on mine i paid 49.00 and a case of beer... when the shop owner was gone for the day
I got 20% all around with 35% on the whole windshield and i paid $150
You got your WINDSHIELD tinted?
yea...not as bad as you think. I can see perfectly fine at night and when its raining. Its noticeably darker cuz ur soo used to driving with a clear windshield but i see perfectly fine. i think the HID's play a role in that too
Huper Optik 35% installed in Houston for $450.
I was quoted $275 for Huper Optik.
that's a lot to pay
$300 for ceramic lumar 18% all windows and 50% on the front windshield...got a nice silver look to them will post pics after i get the baby washed
Not really sure what the exact amount was, I got Huber Optik tint done at the same time as a ClearBra and I paid $800.
I paid $180.00 with lifetime warr. I got 35% all around and on the top front. I was gonna go with 20% (illegal), but I got the auto dim, which makes it hard to make out cop cars at nite as it is. It's definately cooler both temperature and looks. It also helps preserve the interior . cya
$159 for Llumar ceramic (with a $30 off coupon). 20% back window & 40% for the sides. Lifetime warranty as well.
