Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Help! A bolts missing from one of my 8x18 Sport Classic wheels. Pretty sure the wheels are made by BBS with M7 Titanium Multi spline bolts ( I think) Anyone know where I can get a new one from off the shelf in the South East? Also, anyone know what the torque should be? James

POST 2Original post

I am sorry, I have no solution for your request (I was told those wheels are "replacement only" by OPC as they have no technical bulletin covering any works other than full removal or refit from hubs - I had enquired about splitting them for renovation next year with a detail). But on a related note, does anyone know where to get the multi-spline head to remove them. Thanks

POST 3Original post

After recently trashing my Classic sport II front split rim, I bought a second hand one and had it refurbed. Two of the bolts sheared off and needed replacing and was done by Wheels approved in Weybridge: www.wheelsapproved .co.uk. Phone number 01932 355 356. they should be able to help. The torque settings are 15 ftlbs or 20 Nm TB

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the replies guys, I'll get in touch with the lot in Weybridge. The bolt has actually sheared off in the rim so the wheels got to be split to recover it and then replaced. This is quite common on refurbishing wheels apparently, as I've just had done. My advice is not to split if at all possible! The multi spline tool is available from many motor factors, referred to as a 12 point spline. I think the size is 12mm. J

Thank you and good luck. I was thinking of having my car detailed at KDS Keltec and wheels refurbed at Lepsons next year (which would involve the wheels being split)
