Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

while blown away by the experience, it left me feeling really good about my stock '07 Cayman 2.7. The most noticeable thing to me was a real wag before the car was set. It just made me feel good about my daily driver and how good our cars are. That's all. But man did that 911 haul a$$!! C.

POST 2Original post

Funny, I too drive an 07 2.7 987. I had a 997 911S on my tail today for a few miles throughout my neighborhood. As the posted speeds are pretty slow its not like we could haul ***, although he clearly wanted to stay on my tail. As we approached a hard 90 degree right, I shifted down into second, punched it and hugged the inside of the corner with a beautiful sweeping turn. As I look in my rear view the 911 clearly was trying to follow my lead although I noticed a pretty significant pitch and roll in his turn in. Just made me smile knowing we drive one of the best handling cars in the Porsche line up.

POST 3Original post

Nice review by Chris Harris on the Turbo S (versus the GT-R)

POST 4Original post

Don't mean to burst any bubbles, but a 997S can easily corner with a 987, and of course will easily out-accelerate a 987. Porsche wouldn't have it any other way. Of course not every 997S is driven by a competent driver.

POST 5Original post

They are two different experiences and they both are great. I had the opportunity to drive both on the autocross and in the 911 go into the turn you can feel the rear heavy and it's explosive coming out of the curve. On the Boxster/Cayman it's so balance and you can finesse through the turn and wowed yourself. They both felt great yet different. I love my 981S yet don't mind having a 911 CS for it stable mate. They are both great cars and I can't say bad thing to neither.
