Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Hi I have decided to remove the front console in my 02 996. The problem is i cant find where I'd get the bits to make it look pretty? Any help would be gratefully received. Cheers Rik

POST 2Original post

Can you clarify for me what you mean by front console please .. the PU / Bumper ? I kinda like how it looks atm if you do mean that .

POST 4Original post

Aghhh in that case you need to talk to Dammit .. he's had this done .

POST 5Original post

Good mod. Most of us have done it. The parts are genuine Porsche only ie you can't get aftermarket bits. Your main dealer parts guy will sort you out. It's a piece of carpeted section and a plastic square part for in front of gear lever. About £150 all done. Edit to add - Here's where I fitted it to my old C2 http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=118164&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=260 I add the plastic part later. Go to page 16. There's a pic of it with part number. :thumb:

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Does anyone know what the part I need to buy is called. I spoke to the local parts dept today and he says this is the first time he's been asked for this in 15 years. I explained what it is and where it goes but unfortunately without a part number I'm stuck. Thanks

Try this link - https://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod...r-Centre-Console-Switch-Cover-98655211302A10/ That says for boxster but looks exactly the same as mine and they different colour ones are there. Note you also are supposed to order part number 5 in the exploded diagram. I didn't as it was £50 for a simple bit of plastic, just made my own.
