Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This may have been discussed before in which case I apologise. http://www.devtoaster.com/products/rev/ http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=21288 freebie I know there are others and I have read various discussions on them, for example the freebie doesn't work well with Turbos. Given the snow in most parts of the UK. perhaps now isn't a great time to try them out but the snow will melt, the days will get longer and a young man's thoughts turn to just how fast does his Porsche accelerate. Best regards

POST 2Original post

I have revlite which was free I think and PocketDyno (free version). Pocket Dyno works well, but I'm not convinced of its accuracy, as my standard (I think) 996 Turbo Tip recorded 0-100 mph in 6.84 seconds... Seeing as though Porsche think it should take about 9 seconds for a manual, I am not convinced. I also recorded 0-60 mph in less than 6 seconds in my Supercharged RRS... Might be about right for a 2010 5.0 litre, but this was a 4.2.

POST 3Original post

I have the RevLite and the Dynolicious version and I'm not convinced by either of them. My Performance Box certainly "appears to give consistent results" and quite a lot of the car publications use it, Chris Harris and the likes so I think you pay for what you get in this instance.
