Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Perhaps it's because "Porsche" and "Porker" sound similar... in an east-end type thing... ... dunno where the Porsche 917 "Pink Pig" fits into this though...?

POST 3Original post

A couple of years ago at the Goodwood festival of speed I saw a '70s Porsche race car..This was sponsored by the German meat board. As we know in Germany most restaurants have some form of "schweine" on the menu. This particular car was bright pink & it had black outlines sectioning different parts of a pig showing rump, belly, leg etc as you may see on the wall of a traditional butchers. maybe this has something to do with the Porker name?

POST 4Original post

Clubsport, this is the 917 known as the "Pink Pig" that I was referring to...

POST 6Original post

A picture from a model of the car in question. Porsche doesn't have a nickname in Germany; so I couldn't suggest a kosher one. However the 911 are called 'Elfer' - a synthetic word for a male eleven. >> Edited to add: D'oh! Podie beaten me to it >> Edited by Bodo on Monday 20th January 11:46

...how did the 'Porker' moniker arise? I'm curious. As a Muslim, I can tell you I'm not happy about driving around in anything associated with pigs! May have to defect to a kosher/halal make of car!
