I was driving my Boxster S and spun off the track at reasonable speed. The car skidded pretty wide into the grass to the side but the ground was uneven. The tires lost air as debris collected between the rim and the rubber. However on the way back I noticed that the steering wheel is turned by 30-off degrees ie. the Crest no longer aligned but at an angle to me. I called my mechanic who said I must have hit something. There was nothing but its possible the ground was uneven and the wheels got slammed (although the wheels are perfectly fine). Also under normal bumps the car is okay but when driving on cobbled streets there is some rattling noise from the middle of the car on the left side. Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem here ? And what kind of damages we are speaking about?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Almost impossible to try to diagnose based on this information without pics or more to go on. I would offer the suggestion to have your local dealer mechanic check out the car and put it on an alignment rack and have the wheels and tires checked for damage and make sure the wheels are not bent, etc.
I second that... It is quite possible that you got your alignment out of place by going sideways on an uneven ground!
It's very possible that a control arm got bent.
something is out of alignment or bent, needs to be checked out
