Hi all, new member here looking for some input. I know the mounting points are different for the early 2.5 mufflers and later 2.7/3.2 cars but the actual mufflers are more or less identical otherwise. I picked up this PSE/Fister knockoff muffler off a local 2.5 car and will be trying to mount it up to my 2000 S. I presume the brackets on top will need to be cut off and new brackets welded on but if anyone has additional input or advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
