I'm installing pccm+ in a 2001S. My car has option 680 Digital Sound package. I'm not even sure what it does, maybe take existing crappy sound and make it crappy in different ways. Anyway, according to the Porsche doc 9112, if you have Dig Sound (m680) and PCM gen 1 (m662), then you need to open the connector at the DSP and add a ground wire at pin 17. I don't have nav, only DSP, so if the english is precise, I don't need to do this. Pin 17 should be blk/red/ylw. I don't see a blk/red/ylw wire going into the connector, which is evidence I don't need to do this. But for those who have done this, how in the world did you open the connector? It appears to be a solid chunk of plastic with no seams.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
