Hello everyone! After years of dreaming about owning a 911 (and buying cars to "fill the void" like Mustangs, MR2's, etc.), I am finally in a position where owning a 996 or 997 911 turbo is finally possible. However, despite all the Googling I've done, I'm finding it difficult to find the "sticking points" on that car. I've considered Carrera S's and whatnot, but given my 3,700 ft elevation, I feel the turbo will give me that feeling of power that I'm looking for. My '13 Mustang GT, for example, never felt like it had 420 horsepower... though quite a few people have told me that it's the "safer" route with respect to reliability. Note that fuel costs, etc., are not a concern, but I definitely don't want a garage queen- I want a weekend warrior! So, with respect to a 997 or 997 turbo, what are areas I should be looking at when looking at the market? This will be my first Porsche and I want to set myself up for a great experience. I gotta tell you, I can't wait! EDIT: I also don't intend to mod the car aside from upgrading internal ICE to support handsfree bluetooth connectivity (if required).
