Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I presume you have the 997 to go with the 997 Sat Nav disc, because I was under the impression that the newer PCM2.1 discs don't work in the 996.
Appologies I meant to post (and have now) this on the 997 site. Fact is you guys have interesting topics which overlap the 997 and I was interloping, hope you dont mind. :worship: I love all things Porsche and all models.
That's OK, it's just I got all excited at the thought of upgrading my nav so that I could use post codes!
The chap I got the discs from also looks after 996s :thumb:
Thanks, but I have just upgraded mine to the 2007 discs, which I believe are the latest for the 996.
08.2007 are the latest disks for PCM2.0, but if you look at the data files on the disk you will see they are dated January 2008. I think they labelled them 08.2007 to make them "Model Year 2008". They did something similar with the PCM2.1 maps, releasing an update labelled 05.2007, and then another update (with a different part number) in 08.2007, calling them MY2008 disks. The only snag was that it was exactly the same data as the 05.2007 disks, and it pi$$ed a lot of people off when they found out.
This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
