I went to the petrol station today in my car parked it up in the glorious sunshine got out went to lock it and it but it got caught in my pocket, i jammed the main switch and it held the key fob switch down which held the lock signal and then my drivers window went up. It made me laugh as i honestly didnt realise this, i now wonder how many of you knew this was the case. cool little extra..... sorry if re-post James

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Cool! Didn't know that. Will have to try it. I think it may be a programmable feature though. Nope, I can't get mine to do that
Tried it by holding down the lock button and it no workie.
It used to work up to 2006 then Porsche turned it off. It can be turned back on again though.
my remoteKEY does it
Uk cars do it- up AND down. Maybe Porsche think they can trust us to: a. not get our heads jammed in the window b. not to "sue their asses" if we do.
You are probably right....I agree with you but then again I am a 'Brit' so maybe biased.
I didn't know that. Cool! James, Did you have a look of "What the ........" on your face when it happened? Jim
I properly laughed out loud, it just caught me by surprise, i was in a good mood aswell and for some reason it was funny to me, Its just another smart touch by the gods at Porsche. I know everyone that has read this and tried it will have a smile on their face as it happens, Its like finding out the woman you married had a secret that she could open beer bottles with her chebs (breasts) and only just found out!!! Im in a Random mood today!! James
Well I found my Cayman can do the window up & down by the remote ,too. Mine is manufactured in late November, 2007.
My Mercedes used to do it, even put the top up and down with the key by holding lock/unlock. But for some reason Porsche doesn't trust its US customers enough with the feature...
