Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, this is the first pic I have posted on here, and possibly the last.. Monday morning black ice near Guildford/Woking spelled the end for our 996. Wife driving, me in the passenger seat, big tankslapper followed by big signpost in the drivers door. Result = just been told the car is written off. Heavy bruising to the wife, and my little finger but nothing broken. Sad day but could have been a lot worse. Alright, so no picture - bloody computers!

POST 2Original post

Sorry to hear mate, not the best start to the year, glad you and your wife are ok though.

POST 4Original post

sorry to hear that, hope everyone's ok. This is what insurance is for.

POST 5Original post

Really sorry to hear that, and I hope your wife recovers quickly. :thumb: Looking to the future............ I do hope we continue to see you here with the proceeds of the insurance pay out to show off. Get all your paperwork together and be prepared to fight the payout offers to ensure they are giving you everybit you deserve. :judge:

Thanks for the kind words guys, I wish I could put a picture up! Not sure what to replace it with, the missus wants a cotton wool lined Challenger II tank at the moment, preferably with side airbags.. I have fulfilled my boyhood dreams of owning a 911 so it may be time to get something a bit more forgiving now, particularly as I now have my race licence and will do all my speeding on the track  Waiting for the offer to come through from the insurance company, they said it would be 'market value in my area' I have had a bit of a look and prices seem to have climbed a little since we purchased so hopefull we will not be out of pocket. First ever claim so I guess it's 20 years of premiums coming back!
