Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi does anybody know how to remove the air scoops on the 996 turbo i know there is 3 retaining clips but not sure if i have to remove the wheel arch plastic cover, haveing the wing painted and don,t want the body shop breaking the clips thanks

POST 2Original post

IIRC there are 2 torx bolts (T25 I think) that are situated at the forward end of the scoop, which hold it in place. The retaining clips you refer to then act as a hinge and you just pull the scoop open from the front and slide the retainers out. You will need to remove the front PU to get to the scoops and this is a much easier job done with the wheel arch cover off

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
