Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just a general question chaps given the amount of mechanical experts on here. If you're turning full lock and the last few inches the steering wheel feels a tad different and almost pulls to max full lock in by itself (almost like it's motorised) is something broken? Power steering fluid level seems fine. Happens on my 996.

POST 2Original post

I think its the geometry/camber on lock, and nothing to worry about.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks chaps - that's good to hear. I couldn't recall this happening on my previous 996, but then again that never made a clunking noise when reversing on full grip so I think it may be wheel alignment related.
