Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Decided on a 2007 CS over a 2006 CPO 911 Carrera this past weekend. Meteor Gray with black interior. One thing we (GF and I) would like to know is: are there shorter shift knobs for the CS? Not a short shifter but just a shorter (in length) shift knob. First Porsche for both of us, so there's a bit of a learning curve for us on what can and cannot be modified. Looking for something simple and plain and not too expen$ive. Thanks for any info and recommendations.

I don't think you're going to find a lot of solutions to this out there - most of the replacements I know of will put the knob in pretty much the same spot - Porsches are known for their driving position, and getting the knob in the right spot - where the shifter "falls to your hand" as they like to say is a big part of that. brad

yea... the options for shift knobs are very little and pricey
