My car is still brand new condition with 6k miles. Does anyone else's seat squeak when you lean back or apply pressure to the back rest? I always hear it when I get into the car and sit. If I move my body around I hear it squeaking... This is normal wear or should I get it fixed at the dealer? The passenger seat doesn't squeak, but is this because there is less wear there?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Check to see if the seat back is raked so it touches the top of the engine bulk head. You will get a squeaking sound if the seat is positioned in this manner. Mine does it.
My seat isn't touching the back wall, is that what you mean? The center of my seat squeaks if I press it with my hands...its like the leather is really loose.
Probably not the same as your issue, but my seat belt latches make a fair amount of noise. I would describe it as a "creaking" sound, and it occurs whenever I move while belted. The drivers side has gotten a little better over time, but the passenger seat side makes quite a racket. I tried yanking and cranking on the the latches, and have also tried various spray lubricants, but have had no luck silencing the noise. I did find another thread hear somewhere where a few others made similar comments. Brian
My passenger seat squeaks, but it's the leg bolster rubbing against the center tunnel. Stuffing a glove or any kind of cloth in between definitely puts a stop to it. Was thinking of putting some of the fuzzy-side of a strip of velcro down on the center tunnel, between the seat squab and tunnel. Maybe put it on the seat, so no matter where the seat is adjusted, it'll be isolated from the tunnel. Anybody done this? Chris
My car is 4k miles old, both seat backs squeak. By seat back I mean the part my back rests against whilst driving. I have put it down to the leather being new and making the noise.
My driver seat squeaks just a bit occasionally - especially when it's a little cool out. A minor inconvenience.
