I was wondering if anyone ever experienced this: When AC is working, there is a ticking noise, which appears to be coming from just under the dash from the passenger's site. It is definitely AC related and very annoying. Someone has any clue? After all my other gripes with the car it is now officially the most defective automobile I have ever driven. ( And 1998-2005 MB ML SUVs are a strong contender ) Any suggestions are appreciated because the dealer is 350 miles away. Thanks.

Blower motor/fan for the AC. Bearings going out or the fan is loose. That would be my educated guess - had very similar problem in my 1st Volvo. Required disassembling/removing the dashboard to get to it.

thanks. does anyone know of any instructions on how to disassemble the dashboard? if it's not too complicated of course. i suspect i'll have to go to the dealer.
