Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, Having previously owned a 968 Sport and watched my dad continue to enjoy his C4 he purchased new from AFN 20 years ago I decided I had put off 911 ownership too long. In the past I got close but internet horror stories scared me off. Time to man up and find a keeper. I wanted a colour and early 3.4.... I only intended to have a look at the black 996.2 but the minute I saw it, spoke to the owner and flicked through the pile of receipts I wasn't leaving without it. It was booked in for a PPI with RSJ and nothing drastic uncovered so funds were shifted and I was on a train to Slough to collect it. So for a smidge over 11k I have a smart metallic black 6 speed, tintop C2, 8 way leccy black heated leather, Bose nav, phone, am/fm, CD system with full history, impeccable MoT history report and only 88k on the middle dial. Plan is to daily it until the proper damp and frost sets in, attend few car shows and try to strike balance between using it, not being too precious but avoiding the really grim weather.

Well done. Looks like a steal. Was there any mention of the condition of the bores in the ppi?
