Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I bought my 2000 Boxster S with one size larger tires than stock. The rear had 1/4” spacers to clear the tires. I’m going back to the original tire size and eliminating the spacers but the rear lug bolts are at least 1 cm longer. The fronts have 28 mm shanks so the rears are probably around 40 mm. Anyway, my question is, are the front and rear lug bolts typically the same length? If so I’m just going to put 28 mm all around and ditch the spacers.

POST 3Original post

Long bolts in rear might interfere with the parking brake. Don’t ask how I know!

POST 4Original post

The parts catalog lists same part number for front and rear.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks. I went ahead and got the same length lug bolts as the fronts for the rears.
