I've meant to ask this for a while. When I owned a Corvette, it was understood that you did a wave (typically two fingers from the top of the steering wheel) whenever you passed another Corvette on the road. People did it regiously (except of course for the owners of newer cars who seemed to not care). I thought I had read a long time ago that Porsche owners flashed their lights at each other, but I have yet to see it on the road. I've waved at a few other 911s on the road but never get anything but strange looks back. Is there something I'm missing here, or are we just not that tight a group?

Traditionally, Porsche owners do flash their headlights but it seems lost now especially to owners of 996 and 986. I still do it if I have time before they pass me. I rarely get any response back, but I still do it.
