Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I got a nice model of my Turbo on eBay for about a tenner. Made by Burago. (?Sp)

POST 5Original post

I bet her indoors went nuts when you put the car on the front lawn to take that photo?! PS Looks very nice

Thank you, I will have a look. I love the photo, the idea is great and so is the snow.

Back on topic: I am actually one of those sad types that collects a model of any decent car I own and have been doing so for years so got a bit of experience. Size is actually important, don't want to go so big you can not show it anywhere, needs to fit on a shelf etc, go too small and the detail gets lost. So size perfection is 1/18 scale. One of the best value -v- quality is Maisto, their models are shockingly bang on. The only downside is that most are left hand drive but the detail out weighs that for me. Do a Google search on: Maisto model 911 c4 1/18 You will find a local supplier for sure :thumb:

POST 10Original post

The best models by far are the AutoArt ones. The detail is amazing.

Thank you I will take a look.

POST 12Original post

I bet her indoors went bananas when you put burnt rubber on the window sill! (or is it one of those "just for show" models?)

POST 13Original post

Strictly a garage queen this one! Sits on my office desk to remind me what to look forward to at 5:00pm. Sad, isn't it?

POST 14Original post

Ditto. I used to colect Maisto and Bburago until I discovered AutoArt (sorry Lloyd!). However, if you're willing to spend the extra, CMC and Exoto are by far the best modellers in this business. Most of my collection is dominated by AutoArt but I have a few of the CMCs and Exotos too. Amazing attention to detail in the latter including real leather seats, moving gear lever, opening fuel cap and fabric coated door cards (if you're into that kind of thing!). I am probably far sadder than you Richard H! ~ Maxie

+1. I have diecast models of all the cars that I've owned. These couple of sites have been great: www.modelenium.co.uk , www.zeteo.com , www.autoartmodels.com

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
