Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

What is your favorite racing movie of all time ? How about a movie where Porsche has a big part - I can only wish that Hollywood will use the Cayman in some upcoming movie - anybody here plugged in to suggest it /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/regular_smile.gif

Le Mans[/quote] (1971) with Steve McQueen is probably the best & most realistic 'big screen' racing movie ever made. It's high in Porsche content (McQueen's character drives a Porsche 917 for the Gulf-Porsche team) w/lots of real track footage, although the movie is low on off-track plot (but who cares). McQueen's oft quoted, ' when you are racing, it's life.....anything that happens before or after is just waiting' is among the great lines.

I will try to rent Le Mans tonight. Grand Prix is my favorite at this time. That is the movie they should remake. Before hedeathof Garner. If u want some cool vidios that u do not have to download, go to streetfire.net. Check out Hans Stuck driving a full race M3 around Nurburgring. Mike

Le Mans - I think I have seen portions but don't recall seeing the whole movie, and it has been mentioned in many places that it is one of the best racing films ( I think Steve enjoyed making it ) - another of his movies, Bullit has some very good driving, including a 356 driven by J. Bisett ( a very good looking and classy woman ) /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/thumbs_up.gif

Le mans. Check out the opening when there is a GT40 pulling into the puplic parking area.

If you want to see movies where Porsches appear our local PCA chapter ran a 2 part story in our last 2 months of our newsletter with about 40 films with Porsches in them and I know there is actually a book on the subject just can't remember the name of the book. Some of them are racing movies some are awful movies, but interesting stuff nonetheless.

Here's a link to the PCA site listing of every movie with a Porsche in it. If you know of any movie that was missed, you can add it. PCA website list of Porsche movies.

Not too many Porsches in it but to watch some really great vintage racing checkout the Goodwood revival on Speed. Now there are a bunch of folks who don't mind bending multi-million $ cars. The U.K. folks who vintage race are a crazy lot but they're great fun to watch.

I vote for Le Ma ns. Itis the most realistic, and we know that Steve did his own driving. I remember when Grand Prix came out ( I think it was about 1966) and the whole car club went down to the theatre tosee it. The opening sequence is the start of the Monaco Grand Prix, and is as good as anything you'll see today. You can't help leaning to help the car get around the curves. At the time, this was the best in-car footage you could get. But the story line, with it's bogus love story, was pure Hollywood.
