Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A thread was suggested so heres mine. 'The Roach' as her indoors has always said 911s look like cockroaches especially in black. :nooo: So when asked which car to take anywhere, the cry of we'll take the roach has kind of stuck.

Mine's Polly (of which which I suspect there will be many). 20 years ago I had an MGB called Emily, then a 205 Gti called Gertie. Followed by a series of various company cars and a couple privately owned none of which seemed to require names. So as I write this realise Polly is the first car in 20 years that has had a name. That tells its own story!

POST 4Original post

We call my cousins guards 964 "the red dragon"

POST 5Original post

my Ocean Blue 996 is called "The Blue Pig" for two reasons:- 1) its blue and 2) Its number plate is P1G, and therefore Pig=Porker=Porsche! The name has stuck with friends, when I announced I was thinking of selling as made redundant a while back there were cries of "but you cant sell the Blue Pig" etc! They rather like having a chauffeur it seems!

POST 6Original post

'Princess', as in spoilt little brat that takes all of our money, buy we love her. not the BL car from the 70s!!

POST 7Original post

Sooty! Black, quite often filthy and fun...enough said really 8)

POST 8Original post

the porker does not really have a name, mrs gaul refers to it as 'your nice car' which is quite boring. used to have a bmw e30 in metalic black which was mtec bodykitted and big alloys lowered etc- was quite drug dealer; that got referred to as 'the dark destroyer' by my best mate which always made me smile..

POST 9Original post

similar name to plate our car is definatly female and the plate is S***UOS so she became "suzy" and its always nice to see the look on peoples face who dont know its a car and i say something like i have just given suzy a good thrashing!

POST 10Original post

My mum recently bought a Doberman puppy, suggestions for names were sought, I finally managed to persuade her to call the pup, 'Targa' Love it. :thumb:

POST 11Original post

I have sold a puppy who is now called Targa :thumb: (her full pedigree name is Vapresto Carrera Targa - OK, so not strictly correct, but it had to have a middle name starting with C, for the 'C' Litter).

POST 12Original post

call mine Matilda - due to the reg that was on the car kind of suits it

POST 13Original post

Always given my cars names, lol. My turbo is known amongst my friends as 'Porky Mopho' (MoPho part refers to reg, lol). My last motor was known as 'Laughing Girl', coz every one that went for a spin couldn't stop cracking up at how quick it was. Before that I had 'Papa Smurf', bright blue Audi S4. I could go on but it will be very boring!! Jim

POST 14Original post

Mine's simply "Baby" cos I love her like nothing else, I'd defend her with my life, and deal with all the crap she gives me without complaining!
